August 2007 Newsletter
The month of August has been a busy one, with five Great Dad Seminars and a One Day With God Camp on Saturday following the seminars. We were in three different states this month. I praise God for the doors He continues to open for us to be able to share the Gospel of Jesus with incarcerated fathers and their children.
We were able to share with 118 children and fathers out of the five seminars we presented this month. This allows us directly or indirectly to impact about 295 children. The most awesome thing I saw was 55 of these dads prayed to receive Christ, another 61 renew their walk with Christ and seven of their children ask Christ in their heart. Do we not serve and awesome God!!
Through the collaborating partners like Prison Fellowship, Child Evangelism, Great Dads and Forgiven Ministries, God is letting me have the opportunity to see Him begin breaking the cycle of the children following in their parents' footsteps. Statistics indicate that seven out of every 10 children of incarcerated parents will become inmates themselves. We need to ask God to give us what is needed to break this cycle.
The month of September is going to be very much like August. We have five seminars and three One Day With God Camps. Pray that God will use the teams He’s put together this month to make a real difference in the lives of these dads and their children as we share the Good News of Jesus. We will be in four different states working with local chaplains and volunteers.
I want to thank each of you whom God uses to make this ministry possible. Without each of you it would impossible for us to do what God is allowing us to share in. You are the arms, hands, feet, mouth and eyes of Jesus making the difference in the lives God is changing. Without your prayers and support none of this would be possible. I want to thank those of you have come on this month to sow into the ministry both monthly and with single gifts. Again I thank you and I pray God will continue to bless you and your families.
Please pray for me as I travel and Ouida as she keeps things going on the home front. Pray for the dads, children and the caregivers of their children that God will bring about change in their relationship with Him first and healing in these families. Pray for God to bring along mentors to disciple the dads and their children who pray to receive Christ. Continue praying for God to bring along those He wants to be part of this ministry.
