March April 2008 Newsletter

Dear Ministry Partners,

The last two months have been busy, but we’ve seen God bless in many areas of the ministry. We have completed 11 seminars to date with four being in the past two months. Three of the four seminars were in conjunction with One Day with God Camps. PRAISE GOD! We saw 93 individuals pray to receive Christ in the last four seminars.

I was in Washington, D.C., April 30 to speak to the board of Great Dads. They are struggling raising funds for the Prison Ministry. Bob the founder and his chairman, invited me to share what impact we were having on the dads and their families through this part of the ministry. They had allotted me 18 minutes to share, but the interest was so great that we shared for almost an hour.

Please pray that God will open the doors necessary to provide the funding needed to support this part of the ministry. It’s critical that we reach these dads and their children. The statistics say that eight out of 10 children of incarcerated parents will end up in prison. We need to do all we can to break this cycle.

We are talking with some churches about supporting the ministry with monetary gifts and volunteers. I covet your prayers in these matters. I know that God never places a call on us that He doesn’t make a way to fulfill. I truly believe I am in the center of God’s will, because of how He is blessing this ministry.

I want to praise God for those who gave over and above this month to help with the purchase of additional material that will enable us to reach and train more men for Christ. Continue  to pray for the fathering clubs we do monthly. We are seeing a real change in the lives of the dads and their children.

We praise God for what He continues to do through Blue Ridge Ministries and our partners in impacting the lives of dads, their children and families.

Again thank you for all your support and prayers ministry partners.

In His Service,
Jim Williams
